A mindful space for Shibari, sensation and conscious play in Bristol and Wiltshire UK

  • My style, Rope Flow, is not bound by rigid tradition. Instead, it is a fluid philosophy rooted in intimacy and responsiveness. Rope becomes a language. One that communicates through breath, movement, sensation, and awareness.

Each session is an unfolding dialogue, unique to the people involved. Rather than replicating patterns or pursuing technical perfection, my work explores rope as a medium for vulnerability, empowerment, and embodied expression.

Based in Bristol and Wiltshire, I offer Shibari sessions, private rope workshops, group classes and conscious sensory experiences across the UK. Whether you are completely new to Shibari or deepening an existing practice - you are welcome here.

  • Everything at The Rope Temple is built on these foundations.

    Intention

I do not do anything by accident. Every rope I sell, every session I hold and every space I create is built with purpose and care. Intention is the thread that runs through everything I do.

    Safety

Physical and emotional safety are non-negotiable here. I create environments where people feel genuinely held - not just told they are safe, but shown it at every step.

    Community

Rope has always been about people for me. Not just the practice, but the humans who show up for it. I am committed to building a community that is warm, inclusive and real.

    Curiosity

I believe curiosity is one of the most courageous things a person can bring to a room. Whether you are brand new or deeply experienced, there is always something more to explore and I celebrate that.

    Craft

Shibari is an art form and we treat it like one. We take the history, the technique and the beauty of rope seriously, because it deserves to be taken seriously.

    Inclusivity

All bodies. All backgrounds. All experience levels. All curiosities. The temple has no door policy - everyone is welcome here.

  • Some people find rope. Rope found me.

I did not walk into Shibari knowing what it would become. I walked in curious, a little nervous, and completely unprepared for how deeply it would change my life. What started as an exploration became a practice. What became a practice became a community. And what became a community became everything.

For five years I built that community in South Africa under the name Shibari South Africa. I created spaces where people could come as they were — no experience needed, no judgment waiting at the door. Just rope, trust and the willingness to show up. I watched complete strangers become friends. I watched people discover parts of themselves they did not know existed. I watched rope do what rope does — connect people in ways that words simply cannot.

Then life asked me to begin again.

When I immigrated to the UK I carried everything with me. Not just my rope — but everything I had learned about holding space for people. About what it means to create something that feels safe. About why this art form deserves to be taken seriously and shared with care.

The Rope Temple — Bristol and Wiltshire's home for Shibari practice, rope workshops and conscious connection — is that beginning.

It is not just a shop. It is not just a workshop space. It is a continuation of something that started years ago in a different country with a small group of curious people who just wanted to learn.

I built this for them. And I built it for you.

Whatever brings you here — curiosity, Shibari practice, community, or simply a love of beautiful rope — you are in the right place.

    Welcome to the temple.
