Be Held
This is about being held - A Rope Experience
This is not a workshop. This is not a class. This is not about learning knots or mastering technique.
The Be Held experience is a deeply personal and intentional Shibari session designed for one thing only, to allow you to fully receive the rope. To feel supported, present and completely held in a way that most of us rarely experience in everyday life.
No experience necessary. No performance required. Just you, the rope and a safe pair of hands that know exactly how to hold you.
This session is for you if:
You are curious about Shibari but not ready for a workshop setting. You want to experience the feeling of rope without needing to learn anything. You are seeking a deeply embodied, meditative or sensory experience. You want to feel truly held - physically, emotionally and presently. You are processing something and need a safe, intentional space to just be.
What to Expect:
Every Be Held session begins with a conversation. We talk about you, your body, your boundaries, your intentions and anything you want me to know before we begin. Nothing is assumed. Everything is discussed.
From there we move into the session itself. I will guide you into the rope slowly and intentionally, checking in throughout, reading your body and your breath and adjusting as we go.
You do not need to do anything except breathe and receive.
After the session we move into aftercare, time to come back to yourself gently, with warmth, presence and no rushing.
You will leave feeling something. Most people describe it as a profound sense of calm, deep relaxation and a feeling of being truly seen.
The Details:
Duration: Approximately 2 hours including consultation and aftercare
Location: Private studio in Bristol and Wiltshire or by arrangement
Experience needed: None whatsoever
What to wear: Comfortable clothing you feel at ease in
What to bring: Just yourself
A Note From Iris:
I created the Be Held experience because I kept meeting people who were deeply drawn to Shibari but were not ready for a workshop. People who needed to feel the rope before they could understand why it called to them.
This session is my way of creating a door for those people. A gentle, safe and profoundly intentional entry point into one of the most transformative practices I know.
If something in you is saying yes , trust that.
